Ingredients:

3 large-sized tarong (eggplant), broiled, skinned
1 medium-sized lasona (onion), chopped
2 medium-sized kamatis (tomatoes)
3 tbsp boggoong (fish sauce)


Procedure:

Arrange eggplant in a serving platter. Top it with tomatoes, onions and fish sauce.


Tarong with KBL is a broiled eggplant with tomatoes, onions and fish sauce. The word KBL stands for the Ilocano name of the ingredients: Kamatis (tomatoes), Boggoong (Fish Sauce) and Lasona (onions). A recipe of the Ilocanos in Northern Luzon Philippines, the veggie eaters.
