Our international award-winning 2009 Viognier shows the varietal, Viognier aromatics on the nose. Among others are, apricot, grapefruit, crème brulee, and a candied ripe melon. This Viognier is higher in acid than our previous years, giving it a deeper complexity and balance between the thickness of body and spiciness of finish, and allowing for more fulfilling food pairings.

2008 Benevino Cabernet Franc

The 2008 Benevino Cabernet Franc is the first installment of our Vineyard Select series, which showcases Loudoun County vineyards who are producing unique and individual wines. Grown on limestone soils and at a relatively high altitude, the Benevino vineyard Cabernet Franc is a delicate wine, with bright cherry and spicy fruit mixed with an earthy, slate quality. Whereas our estate Cabernet Francs tend to be lush, mocha and dark fruit driven, this wine is more food-friendly, lighter and with a wonderfully delicate balance.
