(HMI)is a corporation created & registered with the Philippine Securities & Exchage Commission on July 8, 2010 with primary purpose to engage in the cultivation, growing & processing of gourmet mushrooms using state-of-the-art equipments under controlled environment & utilizing technology-based production system.
HMI has partnered with Fuji Shukin Co., LTD, one of the large mushroom spawn producers in Japan - a company that has built a sound reputation in this business throughout Japan & Asia. The partner company has been successful in transfer process of mushroom production technology & cultivating skilss to HMI, enabling the latter to produce gourmet mushrooms that grow only in cold countries & are currently exported in the Philippines. NOW, HMI GROWS THEM HERE using our local raw materials & employing Filipinos.

HMI has embarked in this business with the end in view in putting mushrooms as part of Filipino diet because of its nutritional value. Mushrooms are rich in protein, vitamins & minerals. They are also known for their medicinal value. Needless to say, mushrooms are not only sumptuous delicacies. They are organic, nutritious, nutriceutical foods, delicious & a better substitute for meat proteins.
1.) Shiitake Mushroom (Lentinola Edodes) - anti-cancer & immune system enhancer
Shiitake Mushroom is one of the most popular culinary mushrooms in the world. During the Ming Dynasty (AD - 1368 - 1644) physician Wu Juei wrote that shiitake is a remedy for upper respiratory diseases, blood circulation, liver trouble, exhaustion, & weakness. Modern research has indicated that shiitake mushrooms may stimulate the immune system, reduce platelet aggregation, possess antibacterial & antiviral properties with its propteinase inhibitor content. Shiitake mushrooms also have cancer curing properties that are currently being observed by the City of Hope national medical center, targetting the inhibition of lung cancer.
2.) King Oyster Mushroom ( Pleurotus Eryngil) - cholesterol level inhibitor & has laxative effect. it also stimulates the immune system by way of production of interferon gamma & IL-4 (By Vitro research).
3.) Giant Oyster Mushroom (Ooritake Mushroom) - lowers cholesterol level
Oyster Mushroom contains 2.8% lovastatin on a dry weight basis. Lovastatin is a drug used to lower cholesterol.
4.) Maitake Mushroom (Hen of the Woods) - lowers blood sugar levels, antioxidant
