Recipe Language : English
Ingredients:
150 g of granulated sugar 50 g of butter cut into small cubes 6 apples 1 puff pastry roll
Pre-heat the oven to 200° (th7)
In a pan, sprinkle the sugar and cook without stirring until it caramelises. Add the butter and stir gently to avoid splashing caramel out of the pan. Pour the caramel into the tart dish. Peel the apples and cut them into slices. Arrange the slices on the caramel so that they are squeezed tightly together. Cover with the pastry. Tuck the edges down around the apples. Bake on the lowest shelf of the oven for 40 min, then remove the tarte from the oven and let it cool for 10 min. Set the serving plate on top of the mould and flip over so that the apples are facing up. The genuine Tarte Tatin is served warm. You can add fresh cream or vanilla ice cream.
