Ingredients:
2 lbs pork liempo or chicken, beef or grilled milkfish (bangus) 1 cup onion, minced 3 tbsp soy sauce 1 tsp ground black pepper 1 knob ginger, minced 3 pcs bird's eye chili, chopped 1 pc. lemon (3 to 5 pcs calamansi) 1/4 cup butter or margarine ¼ lb chicken liver 34 ounces water 3 tbsp mayonnaise 1 tsp salt
PROCEDURE
Boil pork in water until tender then grill. After grilling, chop or slice finely. Set aside. In a pan, saute onion and ginger in butter or. Add chicken liver and cook until well done. crushed the liver while cooking in the pan. Add pork, stir & cook for 10 minutes. Add soy sauce, chili, salt, pepper & mayonnaise. Mix well. Simmer for a minute. Serve with a squeezed lemon and steamed hot rice. Sisig is a popular Filipino appetizer turned main dish which originated in Angeles, Pampanga, the culinary capital of the Philippines.. The original sisig is composed of chopped pig's face, snout, and ears with a generous amounts of chicken liver and boiled pig's brain. Today, sisig is served in in different variations like chicken, beef or milkfish sisig.
