Paksiw Ikog ( Stewed Oxtail)

Ingredients:
1 pc oxtail, cut into 1 1/2 “portions, cleaned 6 stalks lemongrass ¼ cup datu puti or UFC nelicom Soy Sauce ½ tsp turmeric, minced 2 tbsp ginger 1 cup Mang Tomas or UFC All-Purpose Sauce 1 tbsp UFC or Jufran banana Catsup 4 tbsp Golden Fiesta cooking oil ¼ cup datu Puti or UFC vinegar 3 tbsp datu Puti or Nelicom Fish Sauce(patis) 2 tbsp garlic, minced ¼ cup onion 8 stalks leeks 2 pcs bay leaf 2 pcs bird’s eye chili 3 cups water
Procedure:
Boil oxtail for 5 minutes. Drain. Throw away the stock. In a pot, saute garlic, onion, leeks, turmeric, ginger, oxtail and lemongrass. Add vinegar, fish sauce, soy sauce, Mang Tomas All-Purpose Sauce, UFC Banana Catsup and bay leaf. Add enough water and simmer until tender. Serve with hot steamed rice.
