Ingredients:

1/2 kilo sliced sirloin

Marinade:
1/2 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp Datu Puti patis
1 tbsp Jufran sweet chili sauce
3 tbsps brown sugar
1 tbsp MangTomas Lechon sauce, hot and spicy

Dip
Datu Puti vinegar with bird's eye chili
or tomato slices with fish sauce and chili


Procedure:

Marinate beef in marinade mixture. Refrigerate for two to three hours. Boil beef in marinade until beef is tender. Fry in some oil until golden brown. Serve immediately.

Beef tapa, when served with fried rice and sunny side up egg is called Tapsilog, a shortened Filipino name of tapa (fried beef strips), sinangag (fried rice) and itlog (fried egg).
