Tofu and mushrooms teriyaki

Ingredients:

1/2 kilo Tofu, diced 1" x 1" & fried to golden brown
12 pcs shiitake mushroom caps, quartered & blanched in water with salt
1/2 tsp. of sesame seed oil

Teriyaki Sauce:
1/2 cup light soy sauce
1/2 cup sweet rice wine
1/2 cup sake
4 tbsps. sugar
1 tsp. ginger, grated

Garnish:
sliced scallions or green onions


Prodecure:

Teriyaki Sauce:
In a small pan, mix all the ingredients for sauce then boil in medium heat until slightly thickened.


Toss the mushrooms and tofu together. Stir the sesame oil into the teriyaki sauce then pour the sauce over the tofu and mushrooms.
Garnish with scallions or green onions. Serve immediately with steamed rice.
