PORK ASADO (Sweet Pork Stew)

Ingredients:

1 whole pork shoulder (kasim)
2 cups water
½ cup Mama Sita’s Barbecue Marinade
2 tbsps rhum
2 tbsps sugar
2 pcs bay leaves
2 tbsps cornstarch dissolved in:
6 tbsps water


COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Combine pork, water, Mama Sita Barbecue Marinade, rhum, sugar and bay leaves. Bring to a boil.

Lower the heat and simmer until the pork is tender.

Remove the meat from the casserole and slice thinly.

Thicken the sauce with the cornstarch and water mixture.

Pour the sauce over the meat.
Serve.
