Móri Sauvignon blanc quality wine, 2006. dry 0,75 l
The variety became established in Mór during the second half of the last century. It soon became popular due to its interesting flavours and aromas. Dry with pleasant acids, an elegant wine with a fruity character.
Good well-chilled as an aperitif, but also a pleasant accompaniment to salads, vegetable dishes and fish.
Móri Leányka quality wine, 2006. semi-dry 0,75 l
The second most recognised grape variety in the Mór area after Ezerjó. If harvested at a well chosen time it yields a discreetly aromatic, fiery, fresh and pleasant wine. Its aroma is reminiscent of green apples, and is paired with a deeply honeyed fruity flavour. The very sunny 2006 ripened the otherwise light, refreshing Leányka into something much more rounded.
Excellent accompaniment to soups, salads, starters and light meat dishes.
Móri Ezerjó quality wine, 2006. dry 0,75 l
Ezerjó is the most recognised and renowned, native grape variety and wine of the Mór wine area. The southern and south-western slopes of the Vértes hills produce excellent wines, and that is borne out by our Ezerjó. This Ezerjó is a truly fiery, manly wine, with characteristic acids which are pleasantly rounded off by maturation in oak and tamed by its vanilla aroma.
Recommended primarily to accompany the rich and spicy dishes of Hungarian and Swabian cuisine.
Móri Ezerjó quality wine, 2005. semi-dry 0,75 l
Ezerjó is the most recognised and renowned, native grape variety and wine of the Mór wine area. The southern and south-western slopes of the Vértes hills produce excellent wines, and that is borne out by our Ezerjó This Ezerjó has a sparkling golden yellow colour with an aroma of meadow honey and a full balance of flavours. It is a good reflection of both the variety and the terrain. Its marked acids are complemented by a small amount of unfermented sugar. Its decorous flavours are due to the small amount of aszú grapes in the wine. Such a great wine can only be produced in years of god vintage.
Recommended primarily to accompany the rich and spicy dishes of Hungarian and Swabian cuisine.
Móri Chardonnay quality wine, 2006. semi-dry 0,75 l
This variety has become established around Mór in recent decades. Both producers and drinkers soon came to love it. This is a dry, fiery wine which bears the characteristics of both the grapes variety and the terrain. The slightly over ripened grapes yield a very pleasant balance of acids and unfermented sugars.
The spicy aromas and flavours make this wine ideal for consumption with spicy, grilled foods.
Móri Ottonel Muskotály quality wine, 2006. semi-sweet 0,75 l
Pale silvery green in colour. The elegantly aromatic, intensive characteristics of the variety are complemented by the fruity aromas of the grapes. On the palate the acids and unfermented sugars harmonise with the slight sparkle left over from fermentation.
An excellent accompaniment to desserts, ice-cream or fruit.
Móri Tramini quality wine, 2006. semi-sweet 0,75 l
An extremely popular and renowned variety of the Mór area with an aroma of rose. Full-bodied and flavoursome, its gentle acids are well-balanced. Some of the must's high sugar content remains after fermentation.
This semi-sweet and spicy wine is ideal with aromatic, fruity dishes, desserts and sweet pastries.
Móri Ezerjó from shrivelled grapes, special quality wine, 2004. (6 puttonyos) 0,5 l
This special dessert wine is produced in those years in which the Ezerjó grapes shrivel on the vine in the late autumn but are not attacked by noble rot. The acidity provided by the terrain and the grape variety remains to the fore though it varies according to the vintage. The wine has a golden colour and will surprise the drinker with its clean, dried fruit and plant aromas. The sweetness of the wine is in perfect balance with its refreshing acids.
Recommended as a dessert in its own right or with gooseliver dishes or especially strong flavoured cheeses.
Móri Ezerjó aszú 2002. (6 puttonyos) 0,5 l
This wine has the golden yellow colour associated with oxidation fermented dessert wines. Its aromas are reminiscent of honey and oilseeds. On the palate the acids are eminently capable of keeping the sweetness of the wine in balance. Slight undertones of chocolate, caramel, peach and forest mushrooms. A long, memorable, special dessert wine made using grapes attacked by botrytis (noble rot).
Excellent with gooseliver and strong flavoured cheeses (blue and mature cheeses).
Our Vintage Wines
Our winery has kept and marketed the historical Mór vintage wine stock since 1976. The 300 year-old cellars provide the ideal conditions for the fermentation and maturation of the various varieties and vintages. Only great, full-bodied, fiery and especially fine wines are selected to join the collection.
These wines are in a wholly different, exciting realm. During maturation, the vintage (over 5 years old) wines lose their initial aroma and flavour characteristics. Their acids, and their unfermented sugars mature to become harmonic and balanced; their colours deepen to shades of golden glowing sunshine and their flavours and aromas are complemented by an extremely special bottle bouquet. Our collection includes some 80 varieties and vintages which may be both tasted and purchased. |
